USA confirms participation on the 2nd World University Football Championship

Monterrey, Mexico. Monterrey’s Organizing Committee (MOC) for the FISU’s 2016 World University Football Championship, announced this day that Team USA confirmed their assistance to the event scheduled for early June of 2016 in Monterrey.

USA joins Mexico, and China in the list of teams that will be competing for the championship.
Team USA is decided to take the crown from the mexicans whom won the first edition held on Uppsala,

Sweden on 2014 and they’ve began searching the best players to compete.MOC also announced, that Japan is very close to confirm their participation, so this begins heating the competition that is expected to be an epic championship with the americans taking part for the first time.
As the deadline approaches, it is necessary for the countries that have shown some interest and have been in contact with the MOC to define their participation as soon as possible, to be considered in the tournament.

These countries are:

  • Japan
  • American Samoa
  • Sweden
  • Finland
  • Canada
  • Korea

Any further participation requests for countries not in the above list are welcome, let’s make this happen and have a great championship.
